Johnnie Cochran rose from a modest upbinging to defy the odds and became one of the most famous lawyers in history. He was a polarizing figure who defended his clients vigorously using wit, guile and passion to win case after case. His brilliance and win-at-all-costs attitude were on full display when he defended O.J. Simpson in the "Trial of the century," but his life long battle to free Geronimo Pratt more truly defines his character. This documentary will chronicle his remarkable life and show how he eventually set a wrongfully convicted man free after decades in prison for murder. Cochran was also known for his unprecedented technique using of multi-million dollar police liability suits to impact not only police procedures, but entire urban communities.
