Episode Notes - EDIT EPISODE
Paul McGillion does not appear in this episode.

David Hewlett ("Rodney McKay") laid the groundwork for his sister Kate to make a guest appearance in this episode back in Season One. As he tells it, "When we did "Hot Zone," where [McKay] confesses that he has a sister, it had originally been written as a brother. And I said, 'Look, just on the off chance, I've got a lot of sisters and one of them happens to be an actress. I'm not saying you have to cast her, but just on the off chance, can I say "sister?" ' And they said, 'Oh, that's a good idea. That's fine.' "

Kate Hewlett, who plays Rodney McKay's sister, is the real-life sister of David Hewlett ("Rodney McKay").

Trivia:
It is revealed that McKay's first name is Meredith and his second name is Rodney. McKay's sister calls Rodney "Mer".
