Melinda is caught in a tug of war with "Wide Brim" over Andrea's fate following a tragic plane crash.

Melinda is greatly concerned when it seems that Andrea is being influenced by "Wide Brim." She goes to Professor Rick Payne, an expert in occult beliefs and history, to see if he can identify "Wide Brim" in order to win the battle for her friend's fate. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Melinda, a young man who seems to be obsessed with her makes plans to fly from Seattle to see her.
