english 5ive Days To Midnight (2004) - 1x05 - Part Five

Plot Outline

Despite J.T.'s efforts and the cooperation of Sikorski, the clock ticks inexorably towards J.T.'s demise. Carl, convinced that J.T's survival will imperil the universe, is frantically working to make sure that he meets his destiny. Brad has armed himself with a hunting rifle, determined to retrieve the briefcase he believes will make him rich.

When J.T. returns to his home with Sikorski, they find that the two cops assigned to guard the house have been knocked out and someone has taken Claudia and Jesse hostage. They soon learn that Roy Bremmer's lawyer had his client released from custody hours earlier.

As J.T. and Sikorski frantically search for Bremmer, the mobster heads toward "Buck Naked" with his hostages. Bremmer confronts Claudia, determined to get back the papers she took from him when she left. In no shape to resist, Claudia tells him they're under the seat of her car, but his search turns up nothing. Furious, he marches Jesse and Claudia into the club at gunpoint and stashes Jesse in a janitor's closet.

J.T. and Sikorski arrive with guns drawn and after a brief standoff, Sikorski shoots Bremmer. But J.T.'s relief is short-lived. Sikorski explains that Bremmer had transferred $12 million in property to Claudia while they were married, on the understanding that she would return it when the legal heat was off. Instead, she left him and took the property claims with her. Now, the detective explains, Claudia is going to transfer the property to him. Then he is going to kill both J.T. and Claudia and pin it on Bremmer. If they cooperate, he will let Jesse live.

As the hour of J.T.'s death approaches, the agents of fate are converging on "Buck Naked." Brad is armed and dangerous, determined to get the briefcase back from Carl. Carl is behind the wheel of the green Jeep Cherokee, a servant of physics. And Sikorski, the only person who is not on the suspect list, is choreographing the grand finale. Can J.T. change his fate in the few remaining minutes before he is scheduled to die? Or was the message from the future a cruel ruse, designed to lead him down a path of futility ending in death?
