Overhaulin' (2004) - 3x18 - Leno's Heist

Jay Leno works as an Overhaulin’ accomplice, doing it all to make a friend’s dream come true. That friend is fellow car fiend David. Thanks to The King of Late Night, David’s 1956 Chevy Nomad is stolen and made amazing. David’s son David Jr. also works as an insider. After the Nomad is ripped off, Overhaulin’ sends a not-so-sober retired volunteer cop to check it all out. With that, David knows that his much-loved ride is gone for good.

But of course, it’s being worked on by Chip and the A-Team, a crew discovering that this ‘56 is a rust bucket. No matter, the builders make it rust-free again, dropping in a new monster engine as well. Once it’s finally ready, the final prank takes place at Jay’s Big Dog Garage. It seems that celebrity Jay is going to let non-celebrity David in on a secret: there’s a crack team of super spies who find the stolen cars of the rich and the famous. Jay has invited the spies to help his pal David. But first, David must be grilled, answering many questions. David soon learns that the spies are Chris, A.J. and Chip. He also learns that he’s been Overhauled. Moments later, David falls in love with his incredible Nomad.
