Avatar - The Last Airbender (2005) - 3x01 - The Awakening

After spending several weeks unconscious, Aang wakes up to the news that Ba Sing Se has fallen. Sokka and the kids tell Aang about the latest plan to defeat the Firelord, but Aang believes the only way to redeem himself is alone.

This episode ties up the loose ends from the end of Book 2 Earth. By the end the kids enter the Fire Nation, with the goal of covertly making their way through, moving island to island to the Royal Palace and eventually confronting and defeating the Firelord.
