Annie fantasizes about her ideal family, a far cry from the argumentative son and daughter and patronizing husband and peeing dog. But then the dog disappears and is replaced by a better one, and she is the only one who seems to notice anything amiss - all the evidence such as photos confirm the new "reality". Next her son and daughter disappear to be replaced as well. Even her husband is "replaced" in mid-kiss. Even her furniture "improves", although her friend and psychologist is skeptical. The problem is her "new" family thinks she's nuts and plans to have her commited. She begins flashing between the two worlds until finally she gets "upgraded" as well...and we find out that she's simply a character in a child's digital family game.
