Marco takes his cancer-ridden friend Andy on a last lap around a race track. After an accident Andy wakes up – Marco is dead and Andy has no cancer symptoms. Andy begins to see Marco everywhere he goes and is puzzled by everyone else's indifference to Marco's death. Marco finally confronts him and tells Andy to let it go – being dead isn't that bad. Finally Andy figures it out and he's back in the car crash, having overcome his fear of dying . . except he's the one who dies.
