Alive (2006) - 1x07 - Escape from Avalanche Alley

Life-long friends Jim and Dave are scaling the notorious Elevator Shaft, a sheer ice-wall in the shadow of Mount Johnson, Alaska. A great slab of ice breaks away, taking Jim with it. He survives but is badly injured.

Dave reluctantly leaves his friend to find help. A passing light aircraft sees Dave's improvised SOS signal and tries to land some distance away but damages its landing gear in the process and is unable to help.

Dave returns to Jim as a storm strikes. He drags his friend through an avalanche zone where the pair of them are hurtled down the mountain at breakneck speeds. They are plunged into a deep crevasse but Dave and Jim refuse to give up and struggle and to the surface just as the weather breaks. Finally, a plane comes to their rescue.
