Brendan Kelly, who plays ill-fated Joe Vacco in the pilot episode, has previously worked with series creator Jorge Zamacona. Zamacona was a supervising producer on HBO's Oz, on which Kelly played sadistic biker Wolfgang Cutler.
The original title of the series was Rush. The name was changed due to copyright issues.
Dedee Pfeiffer guest-starred in an episode of Midnight Caller in which Gary Cole was the show star.
The series is taped around the Los Angeles Harbor area in San Pedro, California, in a waterside complex of buildings and warehouses.
Quotes:
Rose: Call me Dude again and you will be dead.
