4.) best episode in last two seasons. i dont know why You didnt like the ending? its not end of SG-1, probably they are going to have more adventures (not shown on the screen), remember that there are still two movies with them. anyway, great ep! congrats! i had best time watching it! (amazingly good soundtrack for this ep - it fitted very well)

5.) I also wasn't impressed, on the contrary!. Except of Tealc's role in the final minutes the plot was absolutely transparent from the beginning. And when Landry got older and finally died everybody knew that time will be reversed at the end. Although it was not the end of SG1, the writers could have come up with a better idea. To show the maincast when they are old is not a very creative idea for a final episode. We had a very similar plot in TNGs final episode and at the end of VOY, just to name the two best examples. I like time travel episodes very, very much, but they never REALLY worked well in a final episode. Actually, nothing really important happened in this episode! The Asgard shown up for the final time only to blow themselves up, earth gets a few new and powerful gadgets to bring up when the next, biggest and final enemy comes to earth orbit and at the end, Tealc ist partially grey and even after fifthy years, his charakter obviously changed not the slightest way...in deed! Some phrases in front of the Stargate, Walther is allowed to present all seven Chevrons for the final time and a "last" Step-Through....exactly the end everybody had in mind as worst case scenario. No surprises, no extras...just standard!
Poor and uninspired way to end an outstanding TV Show. I never was a big fan of TNGs final "All good things", also because of the time travel plot, but at the end it brought the crew closer to each other. The final scene in it this was absolutely great! And when the episode was broadcastet, the next movie was already in preproduction!
No, the fans of SG1, the whole franchise and all the characters would have deserved more!

Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany

6.) i was expecting something great as the last episode but instead it was only average or even below average.
it somehow reminded me of the farscape episode where ben browder and claudia black are stuck on a planet and you see them age until in the end time is somehow reversed.
anyways the SG episode had no new ideas, no interesting twists and wasn't particulary funny. i'd much rather see an episode like "200" as the final episode.
i'm looking forward to the upcoming SG-1 movies but im rather sceptical as to whom/what the new enemy will be. because over the years SG-1 has seen so many different threats that i doubt the writers can find something really new.

7.) One thing's for sure, this final episode was... surprising!
The begining of the episode had a good storyline with the dying Asgaards. Also the idea of being stuck in time in the ship was a fairly good one at first, with Carter trying to find yet another solution to this impossible situation.
Seeing the main cast under this angle was great for the caracters of the show, but when 20, 30 then 50 years past by, even though me being a long time SG-1 fan, I almost cracked up when I discovered the aging team... (it was very exagerated I thought)
The plot just became uninteresting (as some of you have already said), as we knew the 2 direct-to-dvd movies will come sometime this fall and winter (I think), the time travel was so obvious and "easy escape".
Finally the ending scene was acceptable... The series had started in the gate room, and ended there... ten years have already passed!... Indeed!
Just wished that R.C.Cooper had given us a fantastic season-ender like season nine's Caamelot (now that was a memorable episode!)
Looking forward for a couple more SG-1 adventures! (Please bring RDA back!!!!) :D
