After learning of her father's health prognosis, Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) reluctantly agrees to leave Scotland behind and return home to Glenoak with her parents, Eric (Stephen Collins) and Annie (Catherine Hicks). Sandy (Haylie Duff) decides to call off plans to marry Martin (Tyler Hoechlin) after his best friend, Mac (Kyle Searles), questions why they are in such a rush. Meanwhile, Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) advises T-Bone (guest star Colton James) to look into declaring emancipation from his mother if she is unfit to care for him.
