When the D.A.'s office accuses a recovering alcoholic for the murder of his niece, painful secrets are revealed about a similar murder case involving the defendant's mother 25 years earlier.
The defense argues that their client suffers from severe depression and had a psychotic break which was triggered by the anniversary of his mother's death. Annabeth and Maureen argue that the defendant's behavior is part of a larger pattern of drunken violence and he must be brought to justice. The case takes a turn when secrets are revealed about the first murder, leaving Annabeth to question the details of both cases. |
