Plot Outline
Johnny's plans for a relaxing vacation are scrapped when he meets beautiful Maggie Hollister (Sarah Allen) at the railroad station and has a vision of her being thrown from the train to her death. Johnny soon reveals his psychic abilities and tells her about his disturbing vision. Maggie is skeptical of his warning because she thinks he is simply trying to pick her up. She, in turn, boasts that she can read minds and proceeds to demonstrate her abilities. Johnny is intrigued by her observations about the other passengers and verifies her claims through his visions. When Johnny presses her for more details about herself and the reason for her trip, he soon discovers that her stories don't quite add up. As he becomes more embroiled in the tales she spins, his feelings for the captivating con-woman start to grow.

Throughout the night, Maggie keeps Johnny guessing as he tries to figure out her real objective and save her from a horrible fate. Although she manages to stay one step ahead of him, her past finally comes calling when Malone (Frank Schorpion), a rogue cop, boards the train looking for her. Johnny is able to misdirect him for a short time, but Malone eventually tracks them down. It looks as if Johnny's vision will come true, but he reacts in the nick of time to change her fate. The next morning, Maggie and Johnny share a poignant goodbye, and she tries to entice him into starting a new life with her. Johnny is tempted, but he ultimately chooses his family. As he shares a final kiss with Maggie, a vision reveals a bright and happy future for her. While he waits for his train back to Cleaves Mills, he calls to check on Sarah and the kids.
