english Batman (1966) - 3x19 - Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club

Plot Outline
Nora Clavicle is ostensibly a womens' rights spokesperson, but she is secretly a crime queenpin. Exercising her influence over Mayor Linseed's wife Millie (and, consequently, Mayor Linseed!) she has Commissioner Gordon, Chief O'Hara, and Batman and Robin all fired and replaced with women. Clavicle, now police commissioner, appoints Millie Lindseed police chief in return. She then has her 2 henchgirls Evelina and Angelina, set a trap for The Dynamic Trio. Nora has her 2 aides to rob The Gotham National Bank right under the noses of the the newly-appointed policewomen, who prove too concerned with their makeup and exchanging of recipies to stop the robbery! Meanwhile, Batman and Robin overhear the police radio teport about the robbery and decide to try their hand at catching the thieves. With Batgirl assisting, they use a portable Batcomputer to trace the gang to their hideout: The Drop Stitch & Co. knitting supply warehouse. As The Caped Crusader, The Boy Wonder and The Daring Daredoll attempt to apprehend Nora and her aides, Nora grabs Batgirl and threaten to stab her with a razor-sharp knitting needle! She then confesses her plot to destroy Gotham City and collect on an insurance policy she took out on it. Nora then orders Evelina and Angelina to tied The Dynamic Trio into a gruesome Terriffic Siamese Human Knot, which will instantly strangulate all of them with the slightest motion!

As the three crimefighters struggle to avoid strangulation, Nora, Evelina and Angelina prepare the final step in their plan: uncrating and unleashing thousands of mechanical mice loaded with explosives and programmed to detonate at sunset. Batman, of course, remembers a way out of the Siamese knot, and, following his instructions, the trio escape! He then realizes the terror Gotham faces and rushes off on an errand, whilst Robin puts through a call to Chief Lindseed in hopes of getting the police force to help---however all of the policewomen are fearful of any rodent, including mechanical ones, and faint dead away, rendering them useless! Moments later, The Batman returns and procures three flutes, with which — liked Masked Pied Pipers — the trio lead the mechanical mice safely out into the water of Gotham Harbor. This trick works, Batman cagily explains, because of a peculiar sound-actuated mechanism in the mice. Nora and her gang are rounded up with a citizen's arrest by Gordon, O'Hara and Alfred, after which Gotham returns to normal operation.

In another part of Gotham, The Penguin puts forth his scheme to infect a bin of bucks at the U.S. Mint with Lygerian Sleeping Sickness...
