Gabe O'Brien can't get a break – car accidents, offensive boss, lousy job. After getting hit in the head during a car accident he spots a strange little man in an orange jumpsuit that no one else can see and seems to be responsible for everything wrong in his life. Forced to crime, Gabe confronts the man who confesses he is an agent of "the Writer", the woman whom he claims writes Gabe's life. He takes Gabe to an invisible office building where he confronts his writer, Roxanne, and tells her he's taking responsibility for his own life. ‘Upper Management' finally hears his case and agrees to let him write his own life. Gabe starts his own business and convinces his wife to stay with him.
