Fresh from a successful drugs bust involving garden gnomes, the team pick up Nina, a traumatised and mute young girl.
To the amusement of the officers, prostitute Trixie pays a visit to the station claiming she has been raped on a party boat.
The ever-sensitive Gene dismisses her story until she shows them her wounds, which match those of another murdered girl. The team begin a hunt for a possible serial attacker.
They head undercover to check out the suspect at a fancy-dress party on the boat, but their cover is blown while making their arrest.
They have no evidence to charge the suspect until Ray shows his softer side and gets the young girl to break her silence. She gives them the evidence they need - she was the rape victim, not Trixie.
