5.) What was the fucking ISLAND??!!!!
I'm frustrated right now! Damn character centered/driven shows ... good job on the characters but a little bit of answers concerning the environment wouldn't hurt!!!

7.) ha...? what was the point? i didn't get it....  the island is a torture camp ror the newly dead?

and besides, the plane flew away so what happened to them? gone?

god damn it.... why not end it in a Battlestar Galactica fashion.

lame lame writers.... that could have been the best TV show ever but they fudged it badly at the end.   3 out of 10 for the total waste of time!

9.) I thought it was a good ending. Looking at the comments it seems some people didn't listen to or understand the show. Firstly the island was real and all that happened there was reality, as was the future story line of their return to the island. Secondly, at the end, Christian (Jack's Dad) said "Some of these people died before you and some a long time after you." So the plane did leave the island with Kate, Sawyer etc, in the final episode and they went on to lie long lives. The 'parallel universe' story thread (with Desmond) was the only part that wasn't real, it was a waiting room for those souls trapped between life and moving on to 'heaven'. When Desmond was exposed to the magnetic field by Whitmore he died for a short period of time and glimpsed the other side. He saw that the other island members were unable to move on without each other and set about linking them to enable them to pass on to heaven (the bright light at the end). All the characters were flawed as individuals, but strong together and that was how they flourished in life and ultimately in death. The only thing I didn't get was the shoe? When Jack is dying at the end, stumbling through the jungle, just before he collapsed and Benson turned up, the camera focused on a shoe hanging in a tree. WHY??? Also, where was Walt and Michael at the end? If the nasty Ben was there, why not those two too??? Why not Richard also, if Ben was there??? I give it 9 out of 10 - good effort.
