3.) I was very happy to see how it was done.  I can see all the problems that will come up from this already in addition to all the surprise problems I am sure they will throw at us.

What I liked during the last few eps, is that all the major characters are showing interesting growth, in addition to the promotions, and the fact that at least with Lee Adama, he will obviously have the Pegasus crew mostly with him, BUT he will still have to deal with all the obvious attacks like nepotism, etc.  There is no doubt in my mind, that BSG IS the best SciFi ever.  It takes lessons from the UK in that even major characters can and will be killed, AND lessons from american tv in how to make things action packed, and from both in how to make a REAL story.

No there is no doubt in my mind, BSG has taken SciFi to new heights.  I am a little dissapointed in that we dont see enough of Baltar at this time, but mainly only that I want to see that part of the plot continued.  While I am semi happy they toned down the mysticism, I wish they hadn't toned it down that much.  It WAS good, it just was getting to convoluted and deep to follow easily, and would lose any person not "religiously" watching the show.  Now they have toned it down a bit to much, BUT they replaced it with a lot of subtle and not so subtle political as well as emotional/personal issues.

Yea, I think this show is going FAR, it has the feeling of a show that is being run for the story, not for the commercial reasons (though those are always going to have some effect).
