She is an accomplished stage actress, having appeared in Neil Simon's Broadway hit, "Laughter on the 23rd Floor;" with Nathan Lane and in Off-Broadway's "Blackout" and "One Acts" by Warren Leight.
She is best known for her film debut role in A League of Their Own (1992) as Evelyn Gardner, the teary-eyed right-fielder who was told by Tom Hanks that there is "No crying in baseball!"
