Started out in showbiz by appearing in commercials for IBM, AT&T, VH1, and ESPN.
Was arrested on Manhattan's Upper East Side with two other teens on charges of second-degree robbery and marijuana possession. [6 July 2001]
On 3 August 2001 Iler and his two friends were indicted for the robbery of $40 from two Brazilian youths. On April 23, 2002, Iler pleaded guilty to the charges and received three years probation.

His character 'A.J. Soprano' (from "The Sopranos" (1999)) was ranked #10 in TV Guide's list of "TV's 10 Biggest Brats" (27 March 2005 issue).
In 2005,he lost 25 pounds on the Atkins diet, reducing his weight from 180 pounds to 155 pounds. |
