Had a hit in 1991 with The Wonder Stuff named "Dizzy"
He met his wife, Nancy Sorrell, a 27 year old model in 2001, filming BBC2's I Love 1991.
His real name is James Moir, and he adopted his pseudonym after singers Vic Damone and Jim Reeves.
For a short time in 2000 he was engaged to Emilia Fox whom he met when they were both starring in "Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)" (2000).
His part in the Churchill car insurance adverts was hastily re-voiced by another actor after he was involved in a drink-driving accident in March 2005 and banned from driving for 32 months.
Born in Leeds, although grew up in Darlington
Announced in October 2005 he and wife Nancy are expecting twins in mid-2006.
Wife Nancy gave birth to twin daughters, Elizabeth and Nell on May 26th, 2006. They weighed in at 5 lbs, 8 oz and 5 lbs, 3 oz. |
