Porter was adopted as a baby in Los Angeles. Her half sister, whom she had never met until recently, was born in Switzerland. When Porter found her birth family, she and her sister happened to be living three blocks from each other in Chicago.
Porter attended Northern Michigan University where she was selected from thousands of graduates to be named Outstanding Graduating Senior by the National Association of University Women
She is a member of DVDevious: the Improvised DVD as well as ACME Comedy Theatre's Zebra Company. She also performed at ImprovOlympic West for three years in the long-form improv show Tigerpants.
Nominated for several awards at ACME Comedy Theatre including "Best Performance" for 2005 and 2006. Winner Zebra Company MVP for 2006.
Has starred in numerous national commercials for such clients as Hallmark, American Express and Saturn (see "Other Works"). |
