One of "24's" favorite villains, former President Charles Logan, is coming back.
Gregory Itzin, nominated for an Emmy for his role on the Fox real-time drama, has signed for a multiepisode arc on the upcoming eighth season.

Jack Bauer will be getting help from Starbuck next season.
After a couple of weeks of on-and-off negotiations, Katee Sackhoff, best known for her role as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on "Battlestar Galactica," has been tapped to co-star on Fox's "24."

Mykelti Williamson is joining Fox's "24" as a regular.
On the 20th/Imagine series' upcoming eighth season set in New York, he will play Brian Hastings, the MBA-type head of CTU New York who has a razor-sharp intellect.
Casting of the major new characters for "24's" next season, whose production started this week, is almost complete.

Sources said Prinze is joining the cast of Fox's "24" as a regular, playing Davis Cole, a recently returned Marine who runs CTU Field Ops and wants to follow in Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) footsteps.

Kiefer Sutherland charged with assault

Kiefer Sutherland has been charged with assault for allegedly head-butting a clothing designer at a nightclub Monday night. Charges were filed after Sutherland spoke to investigators Thursday at a police station in Manhattan.
The "24" star reported to the precinct house alongside his lawyers but did not give a statement.
