'The 4400' fans launch seed protest

USA Network is being deluged with sunflower seeds in a protest by fans of its recently-axed series The 4400.
Thousands of bags of the seeds, a favourite of character Dr Kevin Burkhoff, have been sent to the company along with pleading messages.

USA has pulled the plug on its original series "The 4400" after four seasons.
Series creator/executive producer Scott Peters confirmed the news in a posting to the USA Network forum yesterday:
"It's with great sadness that I pass along to you the information I've just received -- The 4400 has been cancelled..."

Von der US-Serie «4400 - Die Rückkehrer», die in dieser Woche (Ende Juli) gerade einmal 6,5 Prozent Marktanteil beim jungen Publikum erzielte, verabschiedet sich ProSieben mit sofortiger Wirkung. Nach einem neuen Sendeplatz werde derzeit gesucht, hieß es auf Anfrage von Quotenmeter.de. Stattdessen werden Wiederholungen von den Simpsons gezeigt.
