The second season of FX’s Dirt series was cut short due to the writers strike. Only seven of the 13 ordered episodes were produced, with the last one airing on April 13th. Fans wondered if five additional episodes would be filmed for the show’s third year to make up the difference. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing a third season at all.

The second series of Dirt will be cut short at seven episodes.
ABC Studios, Dirt producer, made seven before running out of scripts, due to the Hollywood writers' strike in December.
Channel FX has now decided it will not go back into production this season even if the Writers Guild of America action comes to an end.

Jennifer Aniston will star in an episode of "Dirt" (episode will air March 27, 2007). This will be the first time the two "Friends" co-stars have worked together since the sitcom went off the air in 2004.
