'The Dresden Files' officially canceled

Rumored for over a month, it's now official - The Dresden Files has been canceled. The official cancellation was “announced” in a footnote to an article about Paul Blackthorne’s new role on ABC’s Big Shots.
In the SciFi boards, Dresden fans are in a frenzy, not just because their beloved show was canceled, but also because some are feeling that SciFi is trying to blame Blackthorne (Dresden’s star) on the cancellation.

Dark forces begin to work in Toronto
Let the supernatural sleuthing begin.
The Sci Fi Channel has begun production on the first of 12 episodes of Lionsgate-produced "The Dresden Files," starring Paul Blackthorne. Shooting in Toronto, the drama combining hard-boiled detective action and fantasy elements will premiere in January.
