CBS has nuked "Jericho"--again.
On Friday, Eye issued a statement declaring next Tuesday's episode -- intended as the show's season two swan song -- would serve as the drama's series finale. Skein, which dealt with the fallout from an apparent nuclear attack on the U.S., was canceled last May by the network, only to be resurrected after fans mounted an intense peanut-centric campaign on its behalf.
CBS had hoped to build on that loyal core with a second season. Ratings, however, continued to disappoint.

'Jericho' Finds Shelter at Sci Fi

With a midseason premiere on the horizon and now a home on cable, the walls of "Jericho" won't be tumbling down anytime soon.
The rights to the first two seasons of the beloved CBS show has been acquired by the Sci Fi Channel, and it will debut on the cable network with a four-episode marathon on Monday, Feb. 11 beginning at 7 p.m. ET, before airing in its regular time slot on Mondays at 10 p.m. a week later.

ProSieben ärgert Serienfans und nimmt "Jericho" vorzeitig aus dem Programm. Statt spannender Mystery gibt es dann wieder "ProSieben Märchenstunde".
Mal wieder wegen mangelnder Einschaltquoten! Mit der Ausstrahlung einer Doppelfolge am 20. August wird ProSieben dann nur 14 von insgesamt 22 Episoden der ersten Staffel gezeigt haben.
Ob die treuen "Jericho"-Zuschauer den Rest zu sehen bekommen, bleibt ungewiss. Zwar verspricht ProSieben, die Ausstrahlung von Season 1 zu beenden. Doch erst wenn die zweite Staffel der Serie vorliegt. Diese wird in Amerika aber vermutlich nicht vor Frühjahr 2008 zu sehen sein.

CBS has ordered seven episodes of "Jericho" for mid-season next year (2008). In success, there is the potential for more. But, for there to be more "Jericho," will need more viewers.
