After CBS cancelled the supernatural drama, some hope emerged that Moonlight might continue on another network. Media Rights Capital (MRC) has purchased CW’s Sunday night airtime and they were offered the show to help them fill it. It was only a chance but it was enough to stall the destruction of the Moonlight sets and frankly, it was better than nothing.

Sophia Myles has declared her confidence in a renewal for vampire series Moonlight.
Myles said the return would be thanks to commitment of fans, who organised a national blood donation drive to show their support for a new season.
"I'd put pretty much all of the money I have in my bank account on the fact that we will get picked up," said the British-born actress, who plays Beth Turnew, the love interest of vampire Mick St John. "I think that's largely to do with the amount of fan support and dedication."

CBS isn't necessarily ready to sink its teeth into a full season of the vampire drama "Moonlight," but the network is nibbling.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has ordered four addition scripts for "Moonlight," even though the freshman drama is the network's lowest rated Friday show and has now been trounced by ABC's "Women's Murder Club" on consecutive weeks.
