CBS has renewed NCIS for the 2011-2012 season, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler announced Wednesday.
Star Mark Harmon signs a new two-year deal to continue on the show.
The announcement comes after Tuesday's show attracted a record-setting 22.9 million viewers, up from its previous high of 22 million viewers in January, and also earned its best 18-49 rating since October 2009 (4.6)
