FX President John Landgraf says the show recently finished production on the final eight episodes of its fifth season, which were initially set for this spring but got pushed back in the wake of the writers' strike. They're now set to debut in January.
The network has also ordered 19 additional episodes, which will bring "Nip/Tuck's" total to an even 100. The final season will likely be broken up into two batches and air in 2010 and '11.

Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that he is currently writing a part for Madonna.
Murphy explained that he wants the pop superstar, who is a big fan of the show, to appear alongside Rosie O'Donnell in an episode.
He told WENN: "I'm going to write something for Madonna, who is a fan of the show and I would love for her to do something with Rosie."
