After successfully trialling a 60-minute format of the show in May, the series, which usually runs at 30 minutes, will include an hour-long show every week from September to the end of the year.
BBC One also announces today that The One Show's presenters, Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles, will be taking a well-deserved fortnight's holiday in August.
Gloria Hunniford and Gethin Jones take the helm from Monday 17 to Friday 21 August. They will be followed by everyone's favourite dancer John Sergeant who will join forces with Myleene Klass, from Monday 24 to Friday 28 August.

Carol Thatcher will no longer work on The One Show after being reported for making a racist remark, the BBC has announced.
The former prime minister's daughter referred to a tennis player as a "golliwog" backstage during filming of the BBC One programme.
However, the 55-year-old will not be banned from the BBC as a whole.
The corporation said it had hoped Thatcher would issue an unconditional apology but she had declined to do so.
