The hammer has come down on "Moonlight" and "Shark," one day before the Eye's upfront presentation to the advertising community.
Conversely, "The Unit" - which hasn't aired a new episode in 2008 - has been picked up for a fourth season.
Both "Moonlight" and "Shark" have struggled in their post-strike returns. In "Shark's" case, its 75.86% average retention rate of "NCIS" among adults 18-49 fell well short of previous occupant "The Unit's" 85.57% rate this season

Kevin Pollak and Kevin Alejandro are joining the cast of CBS' sophomore legal drama "Shark."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pollak and Alejandro will both have key recurring roles when "Shark" kicks off its second season, moving to a new Sunday night 10 p.m. ET time slot.

CBS' "Shark" will attack nine more episodes.
"Shark" has averaged 14.4 million viewers after five episodes, making it the most-watched new drama of the year (ABC classifies "Ugly Betty" as a comedy). James Woods starrer has also averaged a 4.1 rating/11 share among adults 18-49.
