Strictly Come Dancing - Ill Forsyth to miss Strictly show *english*

Bruce Forsyth has been forced to pull out of presenting Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday because he has flu, the BBC has said.

A BBC spokesman said the 81-year-old would be missing the show "on doctor's orders".

He added that co-presenter Tess Daly would be taking on Forsyth's hosting role.

"Dollhouse" creator Joss Whedon on Wednesday shared his disappointment at Fox's decision to cancel the sci-fi thriller.

"I don't have a lot to say," Whedon wrote in a post on Whedonesque.com. "I'm extremely proud of the people I've worked with: my star (Eliza Dushku), my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you'll agree in the coming months. I'm grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again."

Eastwick - ABC cancels 'Eastwick' *english*

ABC has ordered additional episodes of The Forgotten, but has not picked up more for Eastwick.

Eastwick will complete production on its initial 13-episode order and the network plans to air the remaining shows starring Rebecca Romijn. It is unknown at this time if it will continue on in its regular 10pm Wednesday night timeslot.

ABC has canceled the freshman comedy starring Kelsey Grammer. The show is filming episode 10 and will stop production after wrapping that episode.

ABC, which has aired five half-hours of "Hank," has no immediate plans to run the remaining five segments.

"Dollhouse" is closing its doors at Fox.

The network has canceled Joss Whedon's cult fave, which in May beat the odds with a second-season pickup despite low ratings.

The sci-fi series, which is filming episode 11, is expected to finish its 13-episode order. Whedon is said to be on board and plans to give the show a proper ending with a big finale.

TNT has rescued NBC's canceled sophomore drama "Southland."

In a rare industry move, a cable network has picked up a discarded broadcast series. TNT has obtained the exclusive rights to run the six unaired episodes of "Southland" that were on NBC's fall schedule before the broadcaster unexpectedly axed the show two weeks before its premiere.
