Devoted mistress, grieving widow, dissatisfied wife, wanton seductress – Mistresses is the story of four friends who experience love and infidelity in very different ways.

Katie, a GP, finds her well-ordered existence thrown into disarray when her married lover dies and his son reveals a determination to trace the other woman in his father's life.

Trudi, a 9/11 widow, receives a cheque for $2m and an offer of a date on the same day but struggles to leave the past behind.

Successful lawyer Siobhan is happily married but is finding it hard to deal with the fact that making love has been supplanted by making babies – particularly when her flirtatious colleague Dominic sets his sights on her.

Fun-loving minx Jessica is the archetypal mistress. A true believer in the joys of no-strings-attached sex, she claims there is no such thing as love. That is, until she falls for another woman who is about to get married.
